🌿100 Stories (of Play) Project
Every story begins outdoors.
Our mission is simple: to get more children outside - exploring, learning, and connecting with the natural world around them.
Every adventure in nature - whether it’s five minutes of puddle jumping or a whole morning building dens - plants something beautiful within children (and adults).
Through the 100 Stories Project, we’re gathering moments of play, curiosity, and connection from families, teachers, and communities everywhere.
Each story is a seed that helps someone else begin - proof that you don’t need perfection, just a patch of sky, a bit of curiosity, and time to notice the world around you.
Research shows that outdoor learning and play in nature settings support children’s cognitive, emotional and social development and wellbeing.

Why It Matters
When we share our experiences, we make it easier for others to begin.
The 100 Stories Project isn’t about numbers - it’s about growing confidence, community, and care for the natural world.
Together, we’re helping children grow wild and grounded - and reminding the adults beside them that play and learning can start anywhere.
